The Edo State Government has launched a major security operation in Auchi, deploying a fully equipped special squad to crack down on cultists and kidnappers in the area.


The team is being led by the Chief Security Officer (CSO) and the Principal Security Officer (PSO) of the Government House, who have vowed not to rest until every cultist is arrested and brought to justice.


This decisive move underscores the commitment of the Executive Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, to rid the state of crime and restore peace to communities.


Already, some suspects have been apprehended in Auchi, sending a strong message that the governor’s promise of a crime-free Edo is fast becoming a reality.


Residents are urged to remain vigilant, share information, and take note of the progress being made as security forces intensify efforts to safeguard lives and property.

 NDA to Graduate 876 Cadets By Abimaje Moses The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) has announced plans to graduate 876 cadets from both the Regular Course and the Short Service Commission Course. Commandant of the Academy, Major General Abdulkalifa Ibrahim, made this known during the Beating of Retreat ceremony held for cadets of the 72 Regular Course and the Short Service Course 48 Army in Kaduna. The Beating of Retreat marks the conclusion of cadet training at the NDA and signifies their readiness to be commissioned as officers into the Nigerian Armed Forces. According to the Academy, the cadets, who have undergone five years of rigorous military and academic training, have been adequately prepared for the challenges ahead.
